United Health Foundation

The United Health Foundation was established by UnitedHealth Group in 1999 as a nonprofit, private foundation dedicated to improving health and health care. To date, the United Health Foundation has committed more than $800 million to programs and communities around the world, including a $100 million commitment to help diversify the health workforce.

Advancing a diverse health workforce

In 2022, the United Health Foundation made a 10-year, $100 million commitment to deepen and scale our health workforce diversity efforts. The Diversity in Health Care Scholarship program provides scholarships and support to current and future health professionals from diverse backgrounds, helping accelerate our progress in advancing health equity.
