About Tim Spilker

Tim Spilker was named chief executive officer of UnitedHealthcare Community & State in June 2020. In this role, he’s responsible for leading UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid business to ensure effective care management, regulatory partnerships, greater administrative efficiency, improved clinical outcomes and the ability to adapt to a changing market environment.

Spilker joined UnitedHealthcare in 2008 where he held leadership roles, including CEO for the East Region and CEO of the Community Plan of Kansas for UnitedHealthcare Community & State.

Prior to UnitedHealthcare, Spilker worked in a variety of industries, including consumer products, community development banking and nonprofit organizations. He earned an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, an MBA from Harvard and a master’s degree in health care delivery science from Dartmouth College.
