UnitedHealth Group is building healthier communities through local partnerships

Health is shaped by the strength of the communities where people live, work and age. UnitedHealth Group and the United Health Foundation help communities address health needs, strengthen the health workforce and use data to guide action.

Helping communities address what gets in the way of health

Communities face different health challenges, and those challenges are often shaped by local factors: local workforce shortages, mental health needs, maternal and infant health gaps, chronic conditions, housing instability, food access and transportation. Lasting progress requires local knowledge, trusted community partners and data that helps leaders understand where needs are greatest and how to address them. We are supporting that work through the United Health Foundation, philanthropic partnerships, employee giving and volunteering, workforce investments and reports such as America’s Health Rankings. Together, these efforts help local organizations expand their reach, strengthen community health resources and focus action where it can make the greatest difference.
