Complex adult/geriatrics fellowship program

A joint venture between Optum and the George Washington University School of Nursing, this innovative fellowship experience will equip you with the skills to think critically and practice confidently in managing complex adults and older adults across care settings.

Fellowship details

  • During their first year in the post-graduate fellowship program, fellows will take advanced nursing courses through George Washington University School of Nursing, paid for by Optum.
  • After the 12 months, fellows can then transfer up to six credits toward the GW Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
  • Fellows can develop specialized skills in complex adult and geriatric care with a choice of two fellowship tracks: institutional or community settings.

 

About you

  • Must be a licensed and certified nurse practitioner by start of program.
  • Interest in chronic disease management and palliative care
  • Self-driven critical thinker.
  • Capable of developing strong relationships.

 


Healthcare apprenticeship program

UnitedHealth Group’s health care apprenticeship program will equip you to gain the knowledge and skills to receive a certification and begin a career in health care.

Apprenticeship details

  • You will receive full-time employment with benefits from day one of classroom education.
