The health and well-being of our team members and their families is a priority for UnitedHealth Group. We have taken steps to ensure their safety and provide them with resources and support as they continue to serve the members, patients and customers who are depending on us during this public health crisis.

We transitioned 90% of our nonclinical workforce to a work at home status while maintaining all service levels.

We are employing and paying full wages to our entire workforce, and compensation for our frontline clinical workforce serving in high incidence communities was increased.

We provided team members with special health plan enrollment periods, health and wellness resources, stress and anxiety management tools and more. We launched a program to reimburse employees for emergency backup child care for up to $100 per day, which has paid for more than $25 million worth of child care.

Team members who have COVID-19, or are subject to a quarantine, are fully paid and not required to take paid time off; all treatment costs are fully covered with no cost sharing; and UnitedCARES, a program to support team members/family members diagnosed with COVID-19, was launched.
