Kansas Awards Contract to Serve People in State Medicaid Program to UnitedHealthcare

  • Medicaid beneficiaries statewide have continued access to UnitedHealthcare medical and prescription drug plans, and preventive-health and wellness programs

The State of Kansas selected UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Kansas as one of three managed care organizations administering KanCare, the statewide Medicaid program, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan will continue to offer health benefit plans for adults and children who may qualify for KanCare, including access to the plan's care provider network and health and wellness programs. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan offers comprehensive health coverage – including preventive care, primary care, hospitalization, prescriptions and other services – often at low or no cost.
