For the seventh consecutive year, UnitedHealth Group was recognized by The Civic 50 as one of the most community-minded companies in the U.S. The Civic 50 provides a national standard for corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and other resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.

UnitedHealth Group is one of 12 companies that have been included in the rankings every year since the initiative began in 2012.
Specifically, UnitedHealth Group was honored for fostering partnerships that help build healthier communities, supporting employees in their efforts to give back, and providing actionable data to drive important discussions. See a few efforts that were highlighted this year.
The Civic 50 is an initiative by Points of Light, the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. It is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities. The findings are compiled in a report that showcases companies' best practices in supporting their communities.
The Civic 50 winners were selected based on four dimensions of their U.S. community engagement programs: investment, integration, institutionalization and impact.
