The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the critical need to expand access to high-quality health care for everyone, regardless of where they live. This shifted the trajectory of health care to focus on building out virtual care services and moving some care out of hospital settings, into a patient’s home. Dr. Margaret-Mary Wilson, executive vice president and associate chief medical officer at UnitedHealth Group recently joined Dan Loney as a guest on the Wharton Business Daily podcast. Dr. Wilson explained how UnitedHealth Group is working to help create a modern, high-performing health system through the power of digital and virtual capabilities.
