UnitedHealth Group and OptumServe have been ranked Top Ten in the nation on the 2021 Military Friendly® Employers list. Top-ten recognition is the highest award an organization can receive.

UnitedHealth Group jumped from Bronze level last year to No. 6 this year in the over $5 billion revenue bracket, while OptumServe jumped from the Gold level last year (awarded under Logistics Health) to No. 4 this year in the $500 million to $1 billion revenue bracket.

“This recognition for UnitedHealth Group and OptumServe reflects the effectiveness of our focus on creating meaningful opportunities for veterans and military spouses,” said Patricia Horoho, chief executive officer, OptumServe. “We value the skills, experience and dedication that serving the military demands, as well as the expertise veterans and their spouses bring to our business.”

Among the most significant contributors for UnitedHealth Group’s achievement this year are the Military Internship Program, Inclusion & Diversity initiatives that align with hiring and retention efforts, and steadfast support from leaders across the enterprise.

The ranking is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey from all participating companies.
