The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation helps improve children’s well-being.

Too often, children with medical needs lack comprehensive medical care coverage. As a result, many children go without necessary treatment, or families take on large financial obligations. The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) provides medical grants for medical services and equipment to ease the financial burden.
UHCCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity funded by contributions from UnitedHealth Group employees and UnitedHealthcare, as well as individuals and corporations.
Here are a few children who’ve recently benefited with UHCCF’s help:
Andrew
Andrew, 8, has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. UHCCF provided Andrew with a $3,000 grant for physical and speech therapy.
“We are so happy to get the news that Andrew is a recipient of a grant from the Foundation. You have no idea the burden this has taken away from us,” says his mom.
Rebekah
Six-year-old Rebekah has hearing loss. UHCCF provided a $2,500 medical grant to buy hearing aids.
Rebekah’s mom, Theresa, says, “This gift means the world to our family. The people around Rebekah on a daily basis have all noticed a change in her demeanor since having the aids.”
Simone
Simone, 11, loves sports. But she has a delayed speech development that makes it difficult to communicate. Thanks to a UHCCF medical grant, she is receiving speech therapy, which helps her express herself more accurately.
