Diabetes Prevention and Control Alliance
The Diabetes Prevention and Control Alliance (DPCA) is a first-of-its-kind model for tackling diabetes, prediabetes and obesity. The DPCA was launched in 2010 through a partnership with UnitedHealth Group, the YMCA and retail pharmacies, and has since expanded to include numerous other corporate partners.

JOIN for ME
JOIN for ME, developed by the UnitedHealth Center for Health Reform and Modernization, is a whole-family program to fight childhood obesity. JOIN engages kids who struggle with extra weight, along with their parents, in a series of group sessions to achieve healthier weights through healthier family food choices, increased activity and lifestyle improvement tracking.

UnitedHealth HEROES is a service-learning, health literacy initiative developed by UnitedHealthcare and YSA (Youth Service America). Specialty Care for Children on the Navajo Nation
To help Navajo children in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah with complex medical issues receive the care they need, UnitedHealthcare has introduced a telemedicine program that connects them with Phoenix-based physicians. This initiative marks the first time telemedicine has been used to treat complex pediatric problems for patients in the Native American community.
