About the United Health Foundation

The United Health Foundation has been committed to better health and health care for all since 1999.

With the support of our community partnerships, grants and outreach efforts, we’re working diligently to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of medical outcomes; to expand access to healthcare services for underserved individuals; and to enhance the well-being of local communities. To date more than $200 million has been committed to help people lead healthier lives and create brighter futures.

Our Mission - Supporting Health and People in Communities

Our mission is to expand access to health care while improving medical outcomes and the well-being of communities. We work with organizations to fund initiatives that bring our mission to life on a day-to-day basis.

The United Health Foundation was established by UnitedHealth Group in 1999 as a not-for-profit, private foundation dedicated to improving health and health care.

How We Work
Guided by a passion to help people live heathier lives and create brighter futures, the Foundation provides funding and resources to support programs that lead to better health outcomes and healthier communities.

Commitment to Social Responsibility
United Health Foundation shares the same mission and commitment as our sole supporter, UnitedHealth Group, when it comes to helping people live healthier lives. We realize social responsibility begins with us, and every day our employees and community partners strive to discover smarter ways to build healthier communities.
