(September 2015) In September 2015, Optum, UnitedHealthcare and UnitedHealth Group officials participated in the Military Officers Association of America 2015 Warrior-Family Symposium in Washington, D.C. The event, sponsored by UnitedHealth Group, focused on how government and non-government organizations are aligning to improve mental wellness for service members, veterans, and their families.

Converging Lines: Veterans, Health Care & Jobs

(March 2015) Paralyzed Veterans of America and UnitedHealth Group collaborated to put together recommendations that promote the hiring of veterans in health care. This paper focuses on resolving veterans and caregiver unemployment by promoting increased hiring in health care occupations clinical and nonclinical.

Ready to Serve: An Assessment of Community-based Provider Capacity to Deliver Competent, Quality Care to Veterans and Their Families

(Nov. 2014) The findings from this study by Military Officers Association of America, United Health Foundation and RAND Corporation have the potential to aid the development and implementation of additional training in military and veteran cultural awareness and evidence-based care for PTSD and depression for military veterans and their families.
